What is Kalax flytesting device?

Kalax Float Pipe gives to fly-fisher new possibilities in developing streamers, salmon- and various kind of sinking flies. Kalax shows how the fly swims and it also shows the true colours of the fly in water. You can watch your fly from side, from top or even from underneath. By using Kalax you can simply see:

  • The fly in its own circumstances
  • How do the wings work?
  • What is the visibility of the wing?
  • How do different materials e.g. deer hair effect the position of the hook?
  • The translucence of wing and different kind of dubbing materials
  • How does the fly swim in various water speeds?

Adjustable water speed makes it possible to find the ideal speed area for every fly. The water flows in a watertight transparent pipe and therefore the surface flow does not disturb the swim of the fly. The Kalax Float Pipe is made of natural wood and plastic. Package includes an power supply.
